Frequently Asked Questions about the Digital Messenger

Q: Who is eligible to get the digital version of The Messenger?
A: The digital version of the Baptist Messenger (known as “Messenger Digital”) is a subscription-only product. Print subscribers, whether through their church or as an individual, may have access to the e-publication. If you are not a subscriber, you may sign up here.

Q: How do I access the Messenger Digital?
A: Each Wednesday, the Baptist Messenger publishes a link to its newest digital edition at baptistmessenger.com. In addition, subscribers for whom we have email addresses will receive an email newsletter each week that contains a link to the new issue. After clicking on the link, whether on your computer or mobile device, you will be prompted to enter a user name and password, each of which is your email address.

Q: How do I log in to access Messenger Digital?
A: The Baptist Messenger subscriptions office maintains a database of print and digital subscribers. Your subscription account to the digital edition is tied to the email address on file for you. When prompted for the user name, enter your email address. When prompted for your password, also enter your email address. Therefore, you will be populating both username AND password fields with the same email address, simply duplicate the information into those sections.

Q: I think I have entered the right information but I still cannot access it. What do I do?
A: For individual questions about your account, contact subscriptions@baptistmessenger.com. If you are a subscriber through your church, you may also wish to contact your church office.

Q: How much does the Digital version of The Messenger cost?
A: A subscription to both the Print and Digital versions of The Baptist Messenger is free of charge for members of Southern Baptist churches in Oklahoma. If you are not a member of a Souther Baptist church in Oklahoma please call 405-942-3000 ext. 4361 to complete your subscription

Q: I want the digital version of The Messenger on my phone, how do I go about that?
A: The “Messenger Mobile” app is a specially-designed version of the digital Messenger. Look for the “Messenger Mobile” app in the Apple and Google app stores. It is free to download. You will be prompted to use your login credentials to access content.

Q: I work in a church office. Can I add my church members electronically to sign them up to receive the digital Messenger?
A: If your church pays for Messenger subscriptions for members, those same members may receive access to the Messenger Digital. Please make sure our subscriptions consultant has a listing of all members and email addresses who should receive access. Contact us at subscriptions@baptistmessenger.com or (405) 942-3000 ext. 4361.

Q: I work in a church office. Can our church members get both the print and electronic version of The Messenger? If so, how do I go about doing that?
A: Yes, your church members may have both versions. They may also opt to receive only the printed edition or only the digital version. If the members currently receive the printed edition and wish to receive the digital, you may submit their email address online at this link or you can email them to subscriptions@baptistmessenger.com and we can upload them for you.

Q: I work in a church office and am responsible for our group account. How is my log in to update changes/drops/adds different than if I want to sign up for the digital version of The Messenger?
A: If you already have a database account in the Messenger website through which you are now making adds/drops/changes to your mailing list and you want to sign up for the digital messenger, you do not need to create another account.
