Thank you so much for the articles about prayer and revival. I've had a burden for prayer and revival for about 10 years, but find myself with only a few others who carry the same burden. Everyone talks about how our nation needs revival, but few make the connection to their prayer lives to make any difference. I hope others will read these articles and realize revival won't happen without persistence in prayer. Most churches have abandoned prayer meetings for other activities. When will a return to prayer become important to us? Your articles will hopefully stir the revival fire by showing prayer's power in times past and making the connection to what it can do in our future.

A pattern for revial is found in the article on 18th Century Great Commission Resurgence: Praying for Revival. I know of nothing apart from prayer that will see God move in giving revival. So many examples of such praying exists, but I know of none where revival came with out prayer.

May our pastor's call for church wide prayer meetings to call upon a Holy God to give us revival. Have we not seen enough of decline to see our need of crying out to
God to forgive our sins and and cleanse our hearts for revival praying.

I do hope our SBC Committee appointed to deal with this matter who respond to challenge us as a convention to do just that. May we join one another on our knees and cry out to God who is our holy hope.

Yours for the next awakening because of prayer,
