The website for Men’s Rewired describes the April 28-29 event at Falls Creek Conference Center as “one of the only conferences where you will see a biker, cowboy, hipster, gamer and businessman standing together in worship as the greater tribe of Christian men.”
This year’s Men’s Rewired features a “big lineup with a lot of speakers,” as Keith Burkhart, family and men’s ministries specialist for the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma, described, with an emphasis of “Advance Truth.”
“Last year we had the introduction of ‘Truth.’ This year we are going through the next phase, which is to ‘Advance Truth,’ focusing on three primary pillars for men,” Burkhart said.
The pillars Burkhart mentions are leadership, mentorship and discipleship, and the different sessions at Men’s Rewired, both the main sessions and the Truth Track breakout sessions will provide instruction related to these pillars.
“These (pillars) are key to advancing men back in the local church, to work with their pastor in the division of their church to reach and disciple men,” Burkhart said.
Keynote speakers during the main sessions at Rewired will be Michael Jr., Jim Putnam, Cliff Graham and Kenyatta Wright. Matt Roberson and The MET Collective return as the worship leaders at Rewired.
Michael Jr. is a Christian comedian who has appeared in the popular Christian movie War Room. Putnam is a former three-time All-American wrestler who now pastors in Idaho, and he has authored books on discipleship, which is his passion.
Graham is a novelist whose books are based on David’s “Mighty Men” from 2 Sam. 23. He has been involved in pastoral ministry and spent 13 years in the United States Army, finishing his career as a chaplain. Wright is a former Oklahoma State University and NFL football player who currently serves as an area director for Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Truth Tracks are designed for men to pick one of the 25 topics offered and follow through all four breakout sessions. Speakers for Truth Tracks include many well-known Oklahoma Baptist pastors and church leaders, as well as other dynamic Christian speakers from around the country. A list of all the Truth Tracks topics and speakers can be found at www.menrewired.com.

Men’s Rewired promises to have something for all men of various interests and all spiritual conditions. Many who attend for the first time continue to return every year, and most find motivation, encouragement and passion to be more involved in their churches.
“The unifying force that brings these men together is threefold: a love for Christ and desire to be men of God who influence their world; to find the right next step or direction for their relationship with God; and to find and build godly friendships with other men,” Burkhart said.
