The second wave of rain that swept across Oklahoma Saturday night into the early hours of Sunday morning, brought more than just rain. Numerous tornadoes and/or strong wind events caused damage from Duncan to Newcastle to SE OKC to Choctaw to Wellston. Oklahoma Baptist Disaster Relief volunteers were out Sunday morning as daylight arrived to assess damage and get their response efforts into motion. The volunteers will set up their base of operations at Choctaw Road Baptist Church in Choctaw and plan to work the requests for assistance from that location.  Chainsaw teams are forming and will be onsite by Monday to begin the cleanup efforts.

Those needing assistance can call the toll-free number 844-690-9198 or fill out a request for assistance form through the website – www.okdisasterhelp.org.

We ask for your prayers for those impacted and for those that are responding to help. Your financial assistance is greatly appreciated as it allows us to bring help, hope, and healing to those impacted by disasters. Gifts can be made through the DR website.
