EDMOND, OK—Don Williams, Disaster Relief director for the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma (BGCO), has been in close contact for days with officials connected to Hurricane Harvey and the devastating floods in Texas.
Williams said the BGCO’s DR will be deploying its shower trailer, which has private shower stalls that can be used by relief workers, to Texas today. He anticipates Oklahoma volunteers will be called on to serve, as well.
“Our disaster relief organization will help our neighbors in need. This response and relief effort won’t be short or easy, but with God’s help, every person who needs help will be served,” said Williams.
Oklahoma Baptist DR has been on standby since the Hurricane formed. For the latest updates, or to support Oklahoma Baptist DR, visit www.OKDisasterHelp.org.
