INDIANAPOLIS, IN—Messengers to the Southern Baptist Convention Annual Meeting (SBC), who are meeting in Indianapolis on June 11-12, elected Oklahoma Pastor Brad Graves to serve as SBC first vice president.
Graves, senior pastor of Ada, First, received 4,072 votes or 69.04%, and he will now serve in the one-year-term leadership role. Brad Whitt, pastor of Augusta, Ga., Abilene, nominated Graves for the role. Whitt highlighted Graves’ three decades of ministry to the SBC as a church planter, pastor, missionary, and leader.
