Oklahoma Baptist University alumna Tonya (Miller) Orr will be the featured speaker at OBU’s Business Forum on Friday, Sept. 27. Her lecture will be titled “Preparing for Possibilities.”
This event is hosted by the Paul Dickinson School of Business and will take place at 10 a.m. in the Tulsa Royalties Auditorium inside Bailey Business Center.
Orr received her bachelor’s degree in business administration-finance from Oklahoma Baptist University in 2001. While at OBU, Orr played basketball for the Lady Bison. She scored over 1,000 points and was named Academic All-American.
Most of her professional career has been spent in the mining and construction materials industry in a high-growth environment of private equity and public ownership. In 2022, she made an industry change and became the Vice President of Accounting for Simple Modern.
Orr and her husband, Dustyn, reside with their two children on a small farm south of Washington, OK.
Dr. David Houghton, Chair of the Dickinson School of Business, said the “OBU forums provide ways to inspire and educate students by hearing from industry experts.”
