Oklahoma Baptist University is excited and honored to welcome alumni, students, prospective students, families, and friends to Bison Hill for The Weekend 2024, Oct. 17-19. The events combine OBU’s annual Homecoming celebration with Family Weekend and Bison Day.
The Weekend has multiple exciting events that await attendees, including class reunions, the first taste of OBU’s Alumni College experiences, a Friday evening musical gala, the Bison pep rally, ice cream social and other planned festivities. Saturday features a barbeque lunch, live music, open houses across campus, Art on the Hill, the Bison Bash tailgate, a 6 p.m. football game and the crowning of the Harvest Court winners.
This year’s special highlight will include the launch of the Shape the Future campaign at 11 a.m. on Oct. 18. Alumni, students and community friends are all invited to join OBU President Heath A. Thomas on The Oval in front of iconic Shawnee Hall to celebrate the start of this new era on Bison Hill. The OBU marching band, cheer and pom members and OBU’s mascot Shaz, as well as the OBU community and many local partners will be present.
