God has opened wide a door of effective mission opportunities for Oklahoma Baptists in the Land of Lottie. I am convinced Oklahoma Baptists can—by the power of the Holy Spirit—have significant impact.
I want to invite pastors and directors of missions to join me Aug. 27-Sept. 3 to explore the open doors for ministry in this needy land. This trip is designed for those who are open to involving their local church or association in a partnership with our workers in the Land of Lottie. Those who participate will get hands-on experience doing the very things your people will do on future mission trips. You will stay in hotels and travel in the same manner as future volunteers.
The cost of the trip will be approximately $2,100. Participation will be based on a first-come, first-served basis, and only one person from each church will be accepted. There is space for only 20 people. If you would like to join me on this trip, please send an e-mail to mstephens@bgco.org or call 405/942-3000 Ext. 4336. Your place will be secured by a $250 deposit that is due within 10 business days from the time your reservation is acknowledged.
As one who has been on many mission trips, I assure you this will be the experience of a lifetime. You will have the opportunity to work side by side with our Baptist workers and East Asian believers in telling the Good News to people who have never heard it before. We will be privileged to train leaders and visit university campuses.
May the Lord bless you and give you direction regarding your involvement in this mission opportunity.
Yours in Christ,
Anthony L. Jordan
P.S. A group of BCM students was in our partnership area in the Land of Lottie over Christmas and led 121 students to faith in Christ!
