SEMINOLE—On May 4, tornadoes and severe storms hit areas across Oklahoma, including significant damage in Seminole which saw multiple tornadoes hit. By the next morning, Oklahoma Baptist Disaster Relief (DR) had storm damage assessors and chaplains out serving.
In coordination with area churches and South Canadian Association’s Director of Missions Tim Green, DR coordinated a response, sending chainsaw teams to help in the Seminole area.
“We are praying for everyone impacted by these tornadoes,” said Don Williams, Oklahoma Baptist DR state director. “We are grateful for the generous prayer and financial support of Oklahoma Baptists, which enables us to serve our neighbors in need. Oklahoma Baptists will demonstrate our unity and Christ’s love through how we respond to the needs of our communities.”
