BETHANY—Nick Vujicic, world-renown inspirational speaker and Christian evangelist, was born without arms and legs. Despite what many would consider a physical limitation, he is more active than most people.
Vujicic swims, fishes, paints and travels all over the world sharing his story with millions. On May 14-15, Vujicic is bringing the Unstoppable Faith tour through his nonprofit organization, Life Without Limbs, to Bethany, Council Road.
Vujicic is also a musician and New York Times best-selling author. He lives with his wife and two young children. Vujicic’s inspirational testimony has led to appearances on CBS Sunday Morning, Oprah’s Life Class, Inside Edition, The 700 Club and 60 Minutes. This is the first time he is bringing his story to Oklahoma.
Vujicic said, “I’m so excited to be coming to Oklahoma for the Unstoppable Faith tour. Life Without Limbs is all about sharing the same hope and genuine love that I have personally experienced with people all over the globe. My greatest joy in this life is to introduce Jesus to those I meet and tell them of His great desire to get to know them personally by allowing Him to become their Lord and Savior.”
Vujicic admits the early days were difficult. Throughout his childhood, he not only dealt with the typical challenges of school and adolescence, but he also struggled with depression and loneliness. According to Vujicic, the victory over his struggles, as well as his strength and passion for life today, can be credited to his faith in God.
He will be speaking at five services throughout the May 14-15 weekend at Bethany, Council Road, located at 2900 North Council Rd.
Rick Thompson, Bethany, Council Road senior pastor, said, “By what Christ has done in Nick, we see true hope for those who are downcast and fearful. We feel that Nick has an extremely unique perspective on life and faith. We hope to encourage others by his story and how he has overcome his challenges through Christ.”
The event is free and no tickets or reservations are needed, but large groups are encouraged to contact Bethany, Council Road to facilitate the potential need for overflow areas. Service times are 6 p.m. on May 14 and 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. on May 15. Children’s activities will be available for ages three months to third grade.
